Our Auto Body Shop Process – The James Wood Way
STAGE 1- MEET, GREET & ESTIMATES
At James Wood Decatur, you will find we are masters of quality. Your experience begins with a proper James Wood welcome from our Certified Body Shop Estimators. They will provide fast and accurate repair estimates to your insurance company to ensure a smooth repair process. We always recommend original equipment parts and repair procedures. We believe your vehicle was built by the factory to be as safe as possible, so we repair it the same as built. We listen to your concerns to provide you with a detailed explanation regarding your vehicle’s repairs.
STAGE 2- DISASSEMBLY, REPAIRS & RECONSTRUCTS
Our factory-certified technicians begin work on your vehicle by disassembling and assessing the damage on your vehicle. Many vehicles are constructed in a way that require us to penetrate several layers in order to properly determine the extent of the damage. Based on your vehicles’ repair needs from disassembly, we evaluate the extent of hidden collision damage. James Wood Decatur Body Shop undergo extensive certification that includes annual auto manufacturer audits, OEM-authorized parts and repair equipment and annual manufacturer training updates. You can rest easy knowing your vehicle’s warranty remains intact.
STAGE 3- PREP & PAINT
After our factory-certified technicians assess your vehicle for all damage, and makes the necessary repairs with precision, we start the prepping process of the repaired body areas. Then, we apply original quality paint and clear coat to exactly match factory colors and textures.
STAGE 4- REASSEMBLE
Your vehicle then goes to our factory-certified body technicians for final body assembly, additional mechanical work, interior adjustments and complete quality control inspection. This ensures everything is restored to pre-accident condition.
STAGE 5- DETAIL & DELIVERY
Our goal is to deliver your vehicle in pre-accident condition. Our certified estimators fully inspect your vehicle to ensure all parts, measurements and services are completely factory-certified. Then, we wash and detail the vehicle with the utmost care. Our next step is to contact you and ensure we have addressed all of your concerns with the repair.
